Tunisia is planning to open a tourist-themed park and amusement park in Paris next year, according to a report from the French newspaper Le Monde.
Tourism minister Hassan al-Tahoubi said in a statement that the park will be located at the site of the Paris Opera House.
The new park will offer “new and innovative experiences and attractions for tourists,” according to the statement.
The park will include a water park, a spa, restaurants, a zoo and an aquatic park.
Tourists visiting Tunisia will be able to visit the park, which has been under construction since 2010, the newspaper reported.
The Tunisian government is also working on plans to open an island park on the Mediterranean island of Corfu, according a statement by Tunisia’s tourism ministry.
The project is being overseen by a group of partners led by the French government.
Tunisia is a tourist destination in its own right.
It has become known for its stunning beaches and historic architecture.
It is also a popular destination for foreign visitors.
Tourist arrivals to Tunisia have increased more than 60 percent in 2016, the country’s National Statistics Office said.
